Tension has risen in Washington, D.C. following reports of unidentified drones flying over a sensitive U.S. military installation housing top government officials.
According to reports by the Washington Post, the drones were detected over Fort McNair, a high-security facility where U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth are said to reside.
Sources familiar with the situation revealed that the origin of the drones remains unknown, raising serious security concerns within U.S. defense and intelligence circles.
The incident has reportedly triggered internal discussions about the possible relocation of the top officials from the base. However, a senior administration official confirmed that both Rubio and Hegseth have not been moved and remain at the facility.
