Fresh controversy has erupted in Nigeria’s political space after the Chief of Staff to President , , was caught on video urging a federal lawmaker to remain in the opposition and destabilize it from within.
The remark was made during the 50th birthday celebration of the wife of Hon. in Abuja. In the now-viral clip, Gbajabiamila openly encouraged Abejide to stay in the (ADC) and intensify internal conflicts.
“I know you are a fighter… stay in ADC, fight them, scatter them. Don’t abandon your party,” Gbajabiamila was heard saying, while also dismissing calls for the lawmaker to defect to the ruling APC.
