The government of China has strongly condemned reported actions by Israel involving the targeted killing of senior officials from Iran, describing the development as unacceptable and dangerous.

In a statement released by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, authorities expressed shock over reports that Israeli forces had been “authorised to kill any Iranian official,” warning that such actions violate fundamental principles of international relations.

“China is firmly against the use of force in international relations. The killing of Iranian leaders and attacks on civilian targets are by no means acceptable,” the statement read.

The reaction follows reports that Israel carried out targeted strikes in Tehran, resulting in the deaths of top Iranian figures, including Esmaeil Khatib, Iran’s Minister of Intelligence.

According to statements attributed to the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), Khatib was accused of playing key roles in internal crackdowns and international operations against Israeli and Western interests.

In a separate operation, the IDF also announced the killing of Ali Larijani, a senior figure linked to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, describing the strike as “precise” and intelligence-driven.

The Israeli military alleged that Larijani had been central to coordinating Iran’s political and security strategies, including actions directed at Israel and its allies.

China’s response marks a growing wave of international concern as the Middle East crisis escalates, with fears of a wider regional conflict involving major global powers.

Beijing emphasized that escalating military actions, especially targeted killings of state officials, could further destabilize the region and undermine global peace efforts.

The situation has reportedly intensified tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States, raising fears of broader geopolitical consequences.

China has urged all parties to exercise restraint and return to diplomatic engagement, warning that continued escalation could have far-reaching global implications.

As the crisis unfolds, analysts warn that the growing confrontation could impact global security, energy markets, and international relations on an unprecedented scale.
