Veteran Fuji musician K1 De Ultimate has publicly responded after a woman claimed he fathered her daughter, following the circulation of a viral interview in which she detailed her allegations.
In the interview, the woman alleged that she was in a relationship with the singer for more than seven years before becoming pregnant with a daughter she identified as Azizat.
According to her, K1 rejected the pregnancy and allegedly urged her to terminate it.
“We dated for about seven years before I became pregnant with Azizat. When I informed him about the pregnancy, he said he was not interested and asked me to abort it, saying he would send one of his boys to give me money for the abortion,” she alleged.
When asked whether she was certain K1 was the child’s father, the woman replied, “Yes, he is.”
She further claimed that she met the Fuji star while working as a nail technician and hairstylist. According to her, she initially provided pedicure services for the singer at her salon before later attending to him at his residence.
The woman also alleged that after her daughter turned one, she reported the matter to the late traditional ruler, Kabiyesi Agba Akin, who she claimed contacted K1 over the issue.
She further claimed to have met the singer’s late mother, alleging that the elderly woman became emotional after seeing the child and remarked that the girl bore a striking resemblance to members of their family.
In response to the allegations, K1 De Ultimate addressed the controversy through a recently released music video, where he appeared to dismiss the claims.
In the song, the veteran musician sang that “any unplanned pregnancy is a free gift,” a remark widely interpreted by many as his response to the ongoing paternity allegations.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no public indication that the paternity claim has been determined by any court or confirmed through DNA testing.
