The former SGF, who has had a strained relationship with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) since the 2023 elections, also criticized former Vice President , saying he would be no match for Tinubu in a competitive race.
He further dismissed Atiku’s repeated presidential ambitions, warning that his leadership could worsen Nigeria’s current challenges.
Lawal also took a swipe at Labour Party’s , stating that he has withdrawn support from all major 2027 presidential hopefuls.
“I am supporting nobody. I don’t want to be part of anything for now,” he said.

The ADC leadership, however, has denied his allegations, insisting that its internal processes were transparent and properly conducted.
Lawal’s latest remarks have further intensified political debate ahead of the 2027 elections, as Nigeria’s major political figures continue positioning themselves for what is expected to be a fiercely contested race.
