Former U.S. President, Donald J. Trump, has denied any American involvement in the recent Israeli strike on South Pars Gas Field—Iran’s largest natural gas facility—while cautioning that further escalation could trigger severe consequences.
In a statement shared via his Truth Social platform, Trump revealed that Israel carried out the attack independently, stressing that the United States had no prior knowledge of the operation.
He also clarified that Qatar was not involved in the incident in any way.
According to Trump, tensions escalated after Iran allegedly retaliated by launching strikes that affected Qatar’s liquefied natural gas infrastructure. He described Iran’s response as “unjustified,” suggesting it acted without full understanding of the situation.
Despite the rising tension, Trump claimed that Israel has no plans to carry out additional attacks on the critical gas facility—unless Iran escalates the conflict further.
However, he issued a stern warning: any future strike on Qatar’s gas installations could provoke a massive U.S. response. Trump stated that the U.S. would not hesitate to take decisive action against Iran’s key energy infrastructure if such attacks persist.
The South Pars Gas Field remains one of the world’s largest natural gas reserves, jointly shared between Iran and Qatar, making it a highly sensitive strategic asset in the Gulf region.
Meanwhile, reports confirm that Qatar’s major gas hub at Ras Laffan Industrial City was hit during the escalation. Authorities disclosed that multiple ballistic missiles were launched from Iran, with most intercepted by Qatari defense systems. However, at least one missile struck the facility, causing significant damage and fire outbreaks.
Emergency response teams were immediately deployed, and officials confirmed that no casualties were recorded despite the extent of the damage.
The incident marks a dangerous escalation in Middle East tensions, with Iran reportedly targeting not only Israel but also U.S. military and diplomatic interests across the Gulf region.
