Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have arrested the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Trans Fortress Global Resources, Kolapo Oladapo Raji, over alleged involvement in an international drug trafficking network.
SUNTV Global gathered that the 57-year-old businessman was apprehended at his residence in Safe Court Apartments, Ikate area of Lekki, Lagos, on Thursday, February 12, 2026, following weeks of intelligence gathering and surveillance by anti-narcotics operatives.
According to the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the suspect had been on the NDLEA watchlist since 2025 after authorities received credible intelligence linking him to the financing and distribution of illicit drug consignments tied to overseas collaborators.
Investigators disclosed that Raji was arrested shortly after returning to Nigeria from the United Kingdom. A subsequent search of his residence reportedly led to the discovery of four large travel bags containing parcels of “Canadian Loud,” a potent strain of cannabis, weighing a total of 89.20 kilograms.
Operatives also seized a 2024 Toyota Hilux vehicle at the scene.
Preliminary findings suggest the suspect allegedly financed several drug shipments for an associate abroad before later establishing what officials described as an independent distribution network within Nigeria.
During interrogation, Raji reportedly admitted venturing into the illicit drug trade after earning “hundreds of millions of naira” from previous consignments handled through his overseas partner, which he said encouraged him to expand operations.
The NDLEA says investigations are ongoing as efforts continue to identify and apprehend other members of the alleged trafficking network.
