Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, Abdulqowiyu “Cook” Olododo, have distributed pillows to traders and market women at Ipata Market in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The distribution was carried out by members of the A.C.O Forum, a support group backing Olododo’s bid to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections.
The outreach, held on Tuesday, formed part of the group’s grassroots mobilisation activities as political campaigns and preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
Members of the forum moved around the market, engaging traders, women, residents and other community members while handing out the pillows.
The group described the exercise as a gesture of goodwill and community engagement, while also using the opportunity to promote Olododo’s candidacy and encourage grassroots support.
During the outreach, members reportedly listened to concerns raised by residents and discussed political participation and the importance of taking an active interest in community affairs.
In a statement signed by A.C.O Youth Forum Chairman, Afeez Kolawole, and Secretary, Akeem Ibrahim, the group said the initiative was part of its broader strategy to engage directly with residents.
The forum said its approach was focused on taking political engagement beyond large rallies by reaching people directly in markets, homes and communities.
The group added that similar grassroots mobilisation activities would continue across other communities and wards in the constituency ahead of the 2027 elections.
