The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued an urgent public recall alert on Indomie Vegetable Flavour Instant Noodles, warning Nigerians to avoid consuming the product with immediate effect.
In a statement released on Saturday, NAFDAC confirmed that the product has been recalled from the Nigerian market following safety and regulatory concerns, describing the move as a precautionary step to protect public health.
The agency directed consumers who have already purchased the affected noodles to stop consumption immediately, while retailers and distributors have been ordered to withdraw the product from shelves nationwide.
NAFDAC also urged the public to report any adverse reactions linked to the product and assured Nigerians that investigations are ongoing, with further updates expected.
The regulatory body reaffirmed its commitment to food safety and warned that enforcement actions would be taken against non-compliant vendors.
