Police investigators are examining the sequence of events surrounding the death of Mary Habila, a physiotherapist who was found unresponsive at the private residence of Nigeria’s Minister of Works, David Umahi, in Ebonyi State.
According to sources familiar with the ongoing investigation, detectives are reconstructing the timeline of events before and after Habila was discovered unresponsive, including the movements of individuals present at the residence on the day of the incident. Investigators are also reviewing witness statements and other available evidence as part of efforts to establish the full circumstances surrounding her death.
The investigation follows reports that Minister Umahi had left the residence shortly after the incident while aides reportedly coordinated emergency medical assistance.
