Residents of Delta State on Thursday joined nationwide Democracy Day demonstrations, taking to the streets to protest rising insecurity and worsening economic hardship across the country.
The peaceful protest, which began in the early hours of the day, attracted residents from different parts of the state who gathered to express dissatisfaction with the nation’s security situation and economic challenges.
Carrying banners and placards with various inscriptions, the demonstrators called on the Federal Government to take urgent steps to address insecurity, rising living costs, and the welfare of citizens.
