A shocking incident has unfolded in Adamawa State, where a 22-year-old man tragically lost his life after being brutally attacked and managing to reach a police station before succumbing to his injuries.
The Nigeria Police Force in Adamawa has confirmed the arrest of two suspects linked to the killing, identified as Dakiyar Tumba (23) and Sini Luka (31). The incident occurred on April 12, 2026, in Michika Local Government Area.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the victim, Daniel Samuel, arrived at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Michika severely wounded, covered in blood, and bearing visible signs of violent assault.
Despite his critical condition, Samuel reportedly identified his attackers before collapsing. Police operatives immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital in a desperate effort to save his life, but he was later confirmed dead by medical personnel.
Authorities revealed that the victim had been stabbed in the back with a knife during the attack. The weapon has since been recovered and will serve as key evidence in the case.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Kabir Umar Hassan, has strongly condemned the killing and directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to take over the case to ensure a thorough investigation and prosecution.
He also urged residents to avoid taking the law into their own hands and instead seek lawful means to resolve disputes.
“The Command remains committed to preventing and combating crime, as well as ensuring that perpetrators are brought to justice,” the statement emphasized.
The suspects are expected to face charges of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide once investigations are concluded.
The tragic death of Daniel Samuel has once again raised concerns about rising violent crimes and the urgent need for stronger community safety measures across parts of the country.
