In a dramatic turn in Middle East tensions, Donald Trump has announced a two-week ceasefire in military operations against Iran, signaling what could be a major step toward a long-term peace agreement.
According to the U.S. President, the temporary halt in hostilities is strictly conditional on Iran’s immediate reopening of the vital Strait of Hormuz—a key global oil transit route.

“Subject to Iran agreeing to the complete, immediate, and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz, I have agreed to suspend military action for two weeks,” Trump stated.

Trump further claimed that U.S. forces have already achieved their core military objectives, while discussions between both nations are now at an advanced stage. He disclosed that Iran has submitted a 10-point peace proposal, which he described as a “workable foundation” for a lasting agreement.
