Iran Warns UAE Over US Facilities, Labels Them Legitimate Targets

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stark warning to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), declaring that American facilities in the country could be considered legitimate targets following a U.S. strike on Kharg Island, a major Iranian oil export hub in the Persian Gulf.

According to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC described the move as a defensive measure, stating: “We consider it our legitimate right to defend our national sovereignty and territory by hitting and targeting the origin of the American enemy missiles in shipping ports, docks, and hideouts of American soldiers sheltered in some cities in the UAE.”

The statement also urged UAE civilians to exercise caution, advising them to evacuate ports, docks, and areas hosting U.S. military personnel to avoid harm.

Experts say Kharg Island’s strategic significance makes the U.S. strike a major escalation, with Tehran viewing American military presence in neighboring Gulf states as a direct threat. This development further strains diplomatic ties between Iran and the UAE amid rising regional tensions.
