A new development has emerged in the administration of Lucky Aiyedatiwa as one of his key political aides, Barrister Fola Olasehinde-Vicente, has officially stepped down from her position, adding to ongoing shifts within the state cabinet.
Olasehinde-Vicente, who served as Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters in Ondo State, announced her resignation in a formal letter dated February 27, 2026. The letter, which was submitted through the Governor’s Office in Alagbaka, Akure, stated that her decision followed careful reflection and takes immediate effect.
In her resignation message, she expressed deep respect for the governor and appreciation for the opportunity to serve in his administration.
“I write with profound respect and a great sense of responsibility to formally tender my resignation as Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters to the Governor of Ondo State effective today, 27th February, 2026,” she wrote.
She noted that her role allowed her to contribute to programs and initiatives benefiting Ondo indigenes living abroad.
Although she did not state specific reasons for leaving office, Olasehinde-Vicente explained that she intends to focus on the next phase of her political and professional career.
The former aide also reaffirmed her loyalty to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), describing herself as a dedicated party member and pledging continued commitment to its goals.
Her resignation comes amid recent adjustments within Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration, fueling speculation about internal political realignments.
