Senate President Godswill Akpabio has defended the administration of President Bola Tinubu, stating that the Federal Government never promised instant solutions to Nigeria’s challenges but remains focused on achieving sustainable and long-term development.
Akpabio made the remarks while representing President Tinubu at the commissioning of a newly completed seven-kilometre access road and bridge bypassing the second runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
Speaking at the event, the Senate President said the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda is built on strategic planning and deliberate policies designed to improve the lives of Nigerians through lasting infrastructure and economic reforms.
“When we came into office, we did not promise miracles that would appear overnight. We promised structural, calculated and deliberate progress,” Akpabio said.
He added that the government’s objective is to ensure that the benefits of its policies are reflected not only in economic data but also in the everyday lives of citizens.
“We promised a Renewed Hope Agenda that will touch the lives of every Nigerian, not just through economic statistics but in the reality of their daily struggles,” he stated.
Akpabio reiterated the administration’s commitment to delivering meaningful development projects across the country, maintaining that ongoing investments in infrastructure and public services are aimed at improving the quality of life for Nigerians.
The Senate President urged citizens to remain patient and supportive as the government continues to implement reforms targeted at achieving national growth and development.
