Poland has issued an urgent evacuation warning to its citizens in Iran as tensions sharply escalate amid reports that the United States is considering possible military action against Tehran.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called on all Polish nationals in Iran to leave immediately, cautioning that evacuation routes could soon be cut off.
“In a few hours, there may be no more possibility to evacuate,” Tusk warned, according to reports.
The evacuation alert comes as U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly reviewing military strike plans targeting Iran’s leadership and strategic facilities.
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Trump has been briefed on multiple options, including a prolonged air campaign aimed at crippling Iran’s political and military command structure.
Other proposed strategies reportedly focus on destroying Iran’s nuclear and missile infrastructure.
Meanwhile, CBS News revealed that U.S. forces are already positioned and capable of launching strikes within days, though officials say no final decision has been made.
The United States has deployed two aircraft carrier strike groups and additional bombers to the Middle East — described as the largest U.S. military buildup in the region since the 2003 Iraq invasion.
Despite these preparations, Washington is still said to be pushing for diplomatic pressure to force Iran to abandon its nuclear and ballistic missile programmes.
Iran has firmly rejected these demands.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reiterated that Tehran’s uranium enrichment programme is non-negotiable, calling it an “inherent and legally binding right.”
Although recent talks mediated by Oman in Geneva were described as constructive, they failed to produce any major breakthrough.
Russia has also entered the debate, warning of catastrophic risks if military action targets Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused Washington of “playing with fire,” cautioning that strikes could trigger a nuclear disaster and spark a wider regional conflict.
The crisis follows months of heightened hostility since the 2025 Israel-Iran conflict, during which U.S. forces struck Iranian nuclear sites — attacks Tehran insists will not stop its nuclear ambitions.
With evacuation warnings issued, military forces mobilised, and diplomatic talks stalled, fears are growing that the confrontation could escalate into a major regional war in the coming days.
