Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Switzerland to participate in the 56th edition of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, a gathering that draws global leaders, investors, and innovators.
Shettima landed at Zurich Airport around 6:50 p.m., where he was welcomed by members of the Nigerian delegation.
The 2026 WEF, themed “A Spirit of Dialogue,”aims to foster meaningful conversations, collaborative problem-solving, and forward-looking solutions to shared global challenges. This year’s discussions will spotlight frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, next-generation biotechnology, and advanced energy systems.
Key objectives include exploring how these innovations can drive economic growth, improve access in emerging markets, upskill the workforce for the future, and promote sustainable and equitable development globally.
Vice President Shettima is expected to engage world leaders and investors, highlighting Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms, promising investment opportunities, and Africa’s pivotal role in shaping a resilient, inclusive global future.
