Former U.S. President Donald Trump has publicly called on Netflix to remove former U.S. National Security Adviser Susan Rice from its board, intensifying an already heated political dispute.
In a post shared on Truth Social on Saturday, Trump described Rice as “racist” and “deranged,” urging the streaming giant to fire her immediately or “face consequences.” He also questioned her role and compensation on the company’s board.
Rice, who joined Netflix’s board in 2023 after previously serving from 2018 to 2020, had recently criticized corporations she believes are showing excessive loyalty to Trump. She warned that businesses aligning with him could face political backlash if Democrats regain power in upcoming elections.
The former adviser — who served under ex-President Barack Obama — made the remarks while discussing what she called an emerging “accountability agenda” targeting organizations she says are prioritizing short-term interests by supporting Trump.
According to Rice, corporations, law firms, universities, and media institutions that “take a knee” politically could be held accountable if political power shifts after the 2026 midterm elections or the 2028 presidential race.
Trump’s post also amplified a video clip shared on X by political activist Laura Loomer, which showed Rice criticizing companies she believes are aligning themselves with the former president.
Rice previously served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013 before becoming National Security Adviser later that year — positions that placed her among the most prominent figures in the Obama administration.
The exchange marks the latest escalation in tensions between Trump and high-profile political critics, as debates over corporate influence and political loyalty continue to intensify ahead of future U.S. elections.
