A private jet operated by Flybird Airlines sparked panic on Sunday morning after making an emergency crash landing at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA).
The aircraft, which departed Abuja en route to Kano, was carrying 11 occupants, including three crew members, when it reportedly developed technical difficulties mid-flight. The jet was forced to make an emergency landing at about 9:30 a.m., causing tense moments for passengers and airport users.
All passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft, with no injuries or fatalities recorded. Emergency response teams were immediately deployed as airport authorities secured the area to prevent further risks.
Operations at the airport were briefly disrupted while safety officials assessed the situation. Investigations have since commenced to determine the cause of the incident.
