A devastating air disaster has claimed the lives of 13 people after a passenger aircraft crashed near , the capital of .
Authorities confirmed that the ill-fated aircraft, a operated by , went down on the outskirts of the city while en route from Yei to .
All 13 passengers and the pilot onboard were killed in the crash, with no survivors reported.
Preliminary findings by South Sudan’s Civil Aviation Authority suggest that poor weather conditions and low visibility may have played a significant role in the tragedy. The aircraft reportedly lost contact with air traffic control moments before it went down.
Among the victims were two Kenyan nationals, while the remaining passengers were citizens of South Sudan.
