Gunmen have abducted a staff member of the Federal Ministry of Health, identified as Sunday Ani, during a late-night attack on his residence in Abuja.
The incident reportedly occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 29, in the Chikakore area near Grow Homes Estate in Kubwa, within the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Sources say the attackers stormed Ani’s residence in the early hours, forcefully taking him to an unknown location. As of the time of this report, his whereabouts remain unknown.
Ani, 47, is said to be a driver with the ministry and hails from Ebonyi State.
Details surrounding the abduction, including the number of assailants and whether any ransom demand has been made, remain unclear.
Security agencies have yet to issue an official statement on the incident, and efforts to reach police authorities for confirmation were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
