A powerful atmosphere of faith and spiritual renewal marked the conclusion of a 21-day prayer and fasting program as Ministering Pastor Emeka delivered an impactful message titled “Engaging the Power of Prayer and Fasting.”
Anchoring his exhortation on Proverbs 23:18, Pastor Emeka emphasized that expectation is a gateway to miracles, declaring that fasting is not merely a spiritual discipline but a place of receiving answers, blessings, and divine empowerment. He prayed over the congregation, affirming that there is no prayer God cannot answer and proclaimed deliverance upon Mount Zion, where supernatural manifestations are released to those who participate in faith.
Drawing from the life of Apostle Paul, he noted that faith positions believers in command of the supernatural, urging Christians to examine what truly motivates their fasting. According to him, fasting provides believers an opportunity to rise higher spiritually and access realms yet undiscovered.
Outcome of Prayer and Fasting
Speaking from Isaiah 58:8, Pastor Emeka described fasting as closeness to God, not hunger strike, stressing that every new spiritual level requires empowerment. He referenced Luke 4:2–end, explaining that before Jesus manifested power, He was tested—just as believers must undergo spiritual trials before breakthroughs.
He cautioned that prayer and fasting without revelation becomes punishment, citing Acts 19:13, and emphasized that no one can give what they do not have. He added that ignorance has no place on the battlefield of life, stating that Christianity without dominion is ineffective.
Divine Direction and Growth
From Isaiah 58:11, the minister stressed the importance of divine guidance, declaring that any direction without God is distraction. He added that leadership plays a critical role in determining how far an individual can go, noting that no man desires others to rise above him without God’s intervention.
Love, Restoration, and Renewal
Preaching on Isaiah 58:14, Pastor Emeka described the next realm as one of deep love for God, noting that love precedes blessing and labor comes before reward in God’s kingdom. “When you have love, you have God,” he declared.
He further pronounced restoration in multiple areas:
- Restoration of health (Jeremiah 13:17), declaring an end to sorrowful days
- Restoration of joy (Isaiah 58:11), affirming that God dwells where joy exists
- Restoration of favor (Isaiah 51:11), describing favor as coming empty and leaving full
- Restoration of lost years (Joel 2:24), declaring divine compensation from the first month of the year
- Restoration of peace (Isaiah 58:11), highlighting a higher dimension of peace
- Marital restoration (Mark 10:9), praying for healing and unity in marriages
Call to Repentance
The minister concluded with a strong call to repentance, urging believers to examine their foundations and return fully to God. Quoting Matthew 9:11, he stressed that repentance must precede every gift from God.
The service ended with fervent prayers and blessings upon the church, as Pastor Emeka declared that worshippers must receive answers from God.
