The Ebonyi State University (EBSU) community is in mourning following the tragic death of a 200-level student of the Faculty of Basic Medical Science, Department of Clinical Physiology, Okafor Mmesoma. According to the statement, Okafor Mmesoma was involved in a fatal car accident while returning to school. Despite immediate efforts, she unfortunately did not survive the incident, leaving faculty, colleagues, and friends devastated.
“It is with deep sorrow and pain that I share the news of the tragic passing of one of our 200-level Physiology students, Okafor Mmesoma. She was involved in a car accident while returning to school, and sadly, she did not survive,” Comr. Charity Best wrote in the official announcement.
