Pastor Isah Lazarus Alkali of Living Faith Church, Azugwu, has delivered a powerful and inspiring message on “Understanding the Power of Thanksgiving,” reminding believers that gratitude remains a key force for divine intervention, regardless of circumstances.
Reading from Psalm 92:2, the pastor emphasized rejoicing in the Lord at all times, stressing that while man may disappoint, God never fails—no matter the delay. According to him, God remains the unfailing strength of His people, and true followers of Christ must stay committed and steadfast, even in difficult seasons.
Pastor Alkali noted that those who walk without God often become objects of mockery, but divine alignment brings honour and victory. Making a prophetic declaration, he assured the congregation that God has the power to change any situation within seconds, including negative medical reports.
“Nothing works in the hands of murmurers,” he warned, adding that when God is the one directing a journey, the outcome must surely be amazing.
He acknowledged that 2025 may have been challenging for many, but reaffirmed God’s faithfulness, reading from Psalm 103:1–2. He encouraged believers to consciously count their blessings, stating that the testimonies of this year outweigh those of previous years.
Quoting Hymn 14, “Count Your Blessings, Name Them One by One,” Pastor Alkali urged Christians never to forget the benefits of God, highlighting His abundant mercy and grace upon their lives.
He concluded with a call to praise, declaring that “as long as there is breath, praise belongs to God,” and confidently affirmed that God is still doing new things in the lives of His people.
