Pastor Isah Lazarus Alkali has delivered a powerful and instructive message on the wonders of prayer and fasting, with strong emphasis on holiness, marriage, and family stability during a special church service themed “Engaging the Wonders of Prayer and Fasting.”

Ministering from Philippians 4:6, Pastor Alkali reminded believers that the altar of prayer and fasting is the altar of answered prayers, stressing that what people truly need is not money but God-fearing men and women. Citing Matthew 26:40, he warned that excessive sleep and prayerlessness among believers give room for the devil to operate, noting that many things God has already spoken must be enforced through prayer. He also referenced Psalm 119, declaring that whatever has been settled in heaven has already been settled on earth.

The cleric offered prayers and prophetic declarations for youths, particularly for marital breakthrough, while strongly warning against sexual immorality. He emphasized that fornication is deadly, stating clearly that sex before marriage is a sin. He cautioned against immoral relationships with church leaders, describing such acts as a curse rather than a blessing, and stressed that virginity, sexual purity, and holiness before marriage are highly valued by God.

Teaching from Genesis 2:18, Pastor Alkali explained that the woman was created as a helper and not a slave, urging believers to follow the footsteps of Abraham before claiming Abrahamic blessings. He declared the end of every evil targeted at homes and prayed for the restoration of families.

Speaking further on marriage, he stated that God hates divorce, referencing Matthew 19:4, where God created male and female from the beginning. He described divorce as unlawful except on the grounds of fornication and cautioned against marrying another person wrongly.

Pastor Alkali also emphasized the biblical order in marriage, urging women to respect their husbands more than their pastors, explaining that submission to one’s husband is key to receiving blessings within the marriage. According to him, “a submissive woman receives more from her husband.” He encouraged couples to recognize that marriage is a good thing before God, noting that such understanding is necessary before God can settle anyone in marriage.

He further charged men to live upright lives, stating that both men and women must be pure before marriage, and emphasized that a man must be saved by God before he can truly receive from God.

He concluded by warning that evil actions can delay or stop a person from reaching God’s divine plan, calling believers to live holy, prayerful, and disciplined lives that align with God’s purpose.
