In a stunning announcement this Friday, Abraham Double-d Dajoh shared on Facebook that George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has married Queen Zaynab Ngohemba-George Akume Dajoh.
The Dajoh family expressed their excitement in a heartfelt statement:
“We, the entire Dajoh Family, happily join our daddy, uncle, and brother, His Excellency, The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume Jugu Dajoh, in welcoming his new and uncommon wife, Queen Zaynab Ngohemba-George Akume Dajoh, into the Dajoh family.”
The statement also thanked supporters of the SGF and encouraged continued support for him in this “beautiful union.” Queen Zaynab was warmly welcomed to Benue State, the Food Basket of the Nation, to Mbakor, the seat of leadership of the Tiv nation, and to the Dajoh family.
“Welcome home, Queen Zaynab,” the statement concluded.
Photos circulating online show members of the Dajoh family celebrating with the newlyweds.
Queen Zaynab was previously married to Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, in March 2016. She was known as Olori Wuraola during her marriage, which lasted 17 months and ended officially in August 2017. In her statement at the time, she dismissed rumours of infidelity and infertility and announced her continued work as a humanitarian with the United Nations.
After her divorce, Zaynab reverted to her maiden name, Zaynab Otiti Obanor, and relocated to Doha, Qatar. She later reportedly married a wealthy Arab prince and welcomed a daughter in 2022 before resurfacing as SGF Akume’s bride.
This high-profile marriage is already generating waves online, marking another major chapter in the life of one of Nigeria’s most influential public figures.
